ABOUT

Experienced bass player in the St. Augustine-area. I'm 60, semi-retired (work at home), with more equipment and time on my hands than I should! Looking to join similarly inclined folks looking to gig at local venues. Long past dreams of fame and fortune - looking to have fun, musical camaraderie, and get some folks tapping their toes or on their feet. I'm professional enough to come prepared to rehearsal with my parts down cold. Can lend a hand with some vocals from time to time, though I'm no primary lead singer. Prefer once/weeknight rehearsal and occasional weekend gigs.

I've put music and video up from a variety of my bands from my prior residence in Northern VA. The video quality is not so great, but the audio is pretty decent. One the bands I played in years ago had a reunion party jam session for friends of the band, so not everything is from a live "bar/club" setting. But it was lots of fun to jam with old friends!

Influences

Sade to Sting. Squire to SRV. Skynyrd to STP. Stones to Santana. Rinse & repeat...

I've played classic rock, alternative rock, R&B, classical, big band, smooth jazz, Motown, and everything in between. Started in HS jazz band, college cover rock band, and also have done wedding/corporate party gigging, classic rock/blues bar bands, etc. My taste trends away from C&W but some occasional crossover is fine, and Southern rock is great. Not much into full-on oldies, but a few of the classics are always welcome.
