Borderline of North Georgia

Banjo, Fiddle.

If you look at a map, focus on the area in which Tennessee, North Carolina and Georgia all join together. That is the home of Borderline, hence the name. Our group was formed in the summer of 2014 by 4 musicians who had played together many times, as part of a large jam session, but we had never sat down before as a group. When we finally did get together, we discovered that our styles, voices and interests blended. We have all been influenced by the local Appalachian music genre of blue grass, gospel and old-timey music, and our main goal has been to make music and have lots of fun at it. You will hear some old Bill Monroe tunes, some by Dave Evans & Doc Watson, Gospel songs that everyone knows and loves, and now and then, there will be a good old tune to laugh by as well. Our instruments include guitars, mandolin, bass, slide guitar, harmonica, and a train whistle!
