I started playing guitar in 1966. I played in rock bands and my playing was influenced by Hendrix and Clapton. I wanted to learn jazz so my high school teacher told me to study Charlie Parker even though he played alto sax. I took one lesson with Joe Pass and left confused but my regular teacher hung in with me as I progressed. I was gigging in the 70s but became more fascinated with music that didn't sell so I became a software coder/analyst but kept playing in weirder and weirder bands mostly of my own creation. I started writing songs in 1967 and continue to do that in the present. I finally learned to sing both lead and background and today pride myself in being comfortable with most genres of music where a guitar is employed. I love music and musicians! One day I think we'll conquer the world!
