Looking to start an Indie/Punk/Alternative band. My biggest influence right now is the Strokes. The sound I have in my head is sort of like a combination of their sound with classic punk. I can play lead or rhythm guitar and I plan on singing lead vocals for songs I write. I'm looking for a drummer, a bassist, and a second guitarist. Guitar work can be split however we see fit. I'm not much of a soloist, I like playing lead but I'm not here to be under a spotlight playing 15 minute solos. I'd like bandmates who can help write songs. I can usually get down a chord progression and lyrics, but I can't write bass or drum parts for sh*t. I want to play live as often as possible. I have a PA and amps. I've got a drum kit at my house (albeit a sh*tty one) and we can play here occasionally.
