I am a 52 year old guitarist looking to form the ultimate Iron Maiden tribute band-"Powerslave". Maiden has been and always will be my favorite metal band. I am currently building a Dave Murray Strat,But I am also in negotiations with Onstage Systems to buy enough decks and assesories to replicate the Powerslave stage set on a smaller scale. I need people who are dedicated musicians who love Iron Maiden. I also need someone who can walk on drywall stilts to portray Eddie. This project is one that I have tried many times on ,but Ive shut it down just as many times because people. arent serious. Band mix is swerious and Im hoping to find the right folks here. So,that being said,here's what I need;
1) Vocalist-should be able to hit Bruce's range
2) Bassist-should be just as animated as Steve
3) Drummer-Nicko McBrain-nuff said
4) lead/rhythm guitar-should be able to play Adrian's melodies
I play the part of Dave Murray,so Ill be learning all his parts.I still have to find someplace to do the egyptian hyroglyphic drapes,but all in good time. All said,im hoping that there are some good musicians that want to come forth and give Dallas a damn good Maiden tribute show. Lets let Powerslave be that show!!!!!! Influences
My influences are many,but here are the ones that matter;George Lynch/Dimebag Darrell/Randy Rhoads/John Petrucci/Steve Vai/BB King/Joe Bonamassa/Eric Clapton and Mark Knopfler,among others..The sound is very much like Judas Priest/Iron Maiden/Queensryche/Dream Theater/Manowar and the above mentioned guitarists.
