I’m 51 years old and have been playing the drums for 40 years. I’ve done a lot of gigging and recording, mostly in the 80’s as part of a Los Angeles based HAIR METAL band. We were fortunate enough to hook up with the same manager as Guns & Roses, Great White and Dokken. If you google LETCHEN GREY you'll get quite a few hits. We had an independent label deal and sold about 80,000 records.

Since I got out of the BIG HAIR business in the late-80’s/early-90's (a span of just 6 years), I’ve spent the last 24 years playing on various worship bands in various churches I've been involved with in different parts of the country playing a variety of different styles. .

Influences

Yeah.... I’m more than just an old EX-METAL guy. Prior to that, from '75 to '82 I was influenced by the Doors, The Eagles, Led Zeppelin, Jethro Tull, Aerosmith, U2, Rush….. as well as fusion stuff like Return to Forever, Al Dimeola, Dixie Dregs. In fact, the guitar player I played with throughout the L.A, Metal scene had to initially “groom” me for the HARD ROCK attitude and mind-set by giving me homework, LOL, to listen to heavy metal acts of the day (Judas Priest, Motley Cruem Kiss, Black Sabbath, Def Leppard, etc.) Drummer influences include John Bonham, Joey Kramer, Cozy Powell, Steve Gadd, Carl Palmer, Neil Peart, Terry Bozio, Simon Phillips.
