Robson Ruas, born in the city of Pedra Azul, Vale do Jequitinhonha, Minas
Gerais, Brazil, started strumming the opening chords to 12 years old and
one year later, was already composing his first songs. He began his musical
career by developing the role of "crooner" in dance bands, and in the '80s,
he began to publish his solo work, showcasing their songs in various
festivals, always having a wonderful response from the audience, and several
presentations in theathers and pubs (for him, a school). His work stands out
for its simple harmony, incisive, and above all for its originality. From the
mountains of Minas Gerais has been its inspiration.
