ABOUT

I'm a bass player, and I've been playing 4, 5 and 6 string electric bass forever ... Well, not really forever, only 45 years...

I've played all kinds of gigs over the years - studio, corporate, weddings and casual, with a lot of experience.

I've been told that I'm extremely easy to get along with :>)

I like to play with quality musicians, that are dedicated to making really high quality music, but no need to do it for money.

I've opened for headliners at Madison Square Garden and have been the main event at Carnegie Hall, but I'm also comfortable playing stinky old bars in a bad part of town (many towns including NYC, Tucson, LA, and Chicago), I've pretty much played the entire range of possible gigs. Currently living in Buffalo Grove with my family. I also have a fantastic studio / recording / rehearsal space that is state of the art.

Now, it's 100% a hobby, I have a great full time job, but playing music is extremely important to me.

What I am looking for are a group of talented players, to play out once or twice a month at quality gigs for the fun of it.

Love Latin, Jazz, Big Band, Quality Country, and Blues.

I also run FOH at some really large venues around the Chicagoland area, so I've got that experience as well.

EQUIPMENT

All pro equipment, and a lot of it... - various bass and guitar amps - from practice amps - my smallest is a Fender 12" 100W, an Edens 15" combo, a G&K 500 W 2x12", up to really large amps for larger venues and outdoor gigs including a 1500 watt Bi-Amped Edens two 8x10 stack, and 2 MarkBass 410 cabs, 2 full PA systems with subs and active wedges, Yamaha Digital boards, Dante Stagebox, Snakes & wireless in-ear monitor racks.

I play 5 string electric bass pretty much exclusively, (Mostly Fodera, Sadowsky, Mike Lull, and Nordys...)

The audio files below are examples of me playing in a few different bands recently. Some are live, and some are rehearsal recordings.

I specifically only put recordings of me in 3 piece bands (except for the country recordings), so there is no where for me to hide ...
