(You could add Red Dirt as a genre, ala Blackberry Smoke) I have been playing since I was in 4'th grade. Classically trained through high school. Played in orchestra and marching band. After high school went on to play just about every kind of genre out there. Classic rock of course. Started with some guys who were still seniors doing Zepplin, Hendrix, Allman Bros., Spirit, and more. After they graduated the band broke up. Then went on the road touring mid west with a trio doing all the classics from the 50s, 60s, and 70s. When that finished, I formed/played in several bands from my home town doing everything from blues to country(and western), RnR,, classic rock, top 40 dance, hard rock, metal (deep purple was considered that at the time) Todd Rundgren, Steely Dan, etc., etc.
Toured again in the mid 80s all over the Midwest, with a 15 week cruise ship gig in the Bahamas. Moved to New York afterwards where again Played in various bands, several being blues based with either a harp or lead guitar frontman. Moved to Nashville in '99 and was in some really great bands. Started recording at home in 2000. I was fortunate to have had the opportunity to record many very talented singer/songwriters, and bands, including ones I was in. One in particular was Broken Toy. The lead guitarist, Rik Blanz, had played with Molly Hatchett, so we played a lot of their songs as well as other southern rock/metal i.e. Blackfoot, Govt. Mule, etc. Moved to Plano, Texas in 2008 and have been here in the Houston area since 2016. Recently have played with Crazy 8 (dance, top 40), and Great Scott and the Almighties (blues). I have pro gear, full p.a. w/ subs, and a butt-load of lights). 9312163787Brian
