ABOUT

I'm a pocket lefty drummer. I started playing drums at 3 years old. I started gigging at 13 in Richmond Va. I listen to the other players and play to support the focus of the selection being played. I love the idea of playing and accenting the other instruments, especially on horn section collaborations. I'm not hungry for drum solos but will fill the spot if that's expected by the group. My favorite genres to play are Smooth Jazz, R&B, and Funk. The 4/4 timing is always solid, but I also like experimenting with other time signatures, because they challenge me.

Their insights, philosophies, and theories contributed to how I apply my drumming techniques and style.

Gretch Catalina Birch Redwood 6 piece with an array of Sabian, Agazarian, and Zilgan Cymbals; Pearl Piccolo side snare; Chimes, and Tama Iron Cobra Double Bass pedals. I also have a Roland Octapad SPD-30 with a Simmons DA200S Amp that I would love to deploy in a live application.
