I am a male vocalist that is looking to form a duo comprised of a singer/ songwriter and musician. The minimalist idea of having solely a singer and a pianist is where i want to keep my focus. Every aspect of songwriting and performing is made more simple by means of having less members/ instruments to worry about. And the strength or weakness of songs can easily be heard when taking a minimalist approach.
The type of music i am wanting to do for this project is: (to name a few genres: soft rock, classical, folk, indie rock, and pop rock.)
I want to be able to sing with a great musician, so please no non-serious/ unprofessional replies. open music, open melodies and powerful hooks is what i'm about.
I am willing to meet up and talk about this project/ idea to you. And i am willing to meet with you somewhere to sing for you while you jam on some improvised piece of music, just to see how we blend and feel.
Improvisation skills are very important to have, since this is where all great songwriting starts.
also, if you have recording experience and record at home, that is a plus.

Some singing styles that i might most resemble are: Sigur Ros, Radiohead, John Frusciante, Ben Harper, IAMX, Stateless, The Civil Wars, The Verve, Katie Melua, Bjork..you get the idea.
