We are starting a band with 2 guitars and a singer plus/minus drums and bass. It will be mostly britpop/rock and some Americana: Blur, Pulp, The Cure, Clash, Modern English, Beatles, Rolling Stones, Dylan, Morphine, Smiths, Bowie, Radiohead, Bowie, Portishead, New Order/Joy Division, Jeff Beck, Tom Petty, Velvet Underground/Lou Reed, U2.... We also play some blues, but not TX style, more oldish, ala Rolling Stones (again) or more primitive/original American blues. We are not into heavy stuff for the most part. The final idea is to come up with our own songs, if a spark of geniality happens at any point.
If you are interested in this type of music please contact me. We are all in our 40's (36 to 45 to be precise), have careers, and do this with passion but as a hobby, looking to play out once in a while.
