Influences

I grew up in the classic rock era, but I'm open to all kinds of music. I have a good ear and can pick up nearly anything. As a guitarist, my style is mostly in the Eric Capton, Jimmy Page, Stevie Ray mode. I also play keyboards and am strong on piano oriented tunes in the Billy Joel/ elton John sort of style. Feeling Alright by Joe Cocker is one song I like to play. I can sing reasonably well and can do harmony vocals, but would not call myself a lead vocalist because my range is too low (low baritone)

Members Of Band

I just moved to this area, and am looking to start a band from scratch. I am a solid lead and rythm guitar and keyboard player and am equally comfortable on either instrument. I would really like to work with a young female singer, or really anyone who is a good musician and really wants to put some time into making something happen. I'm 44 years old, but age really doesn't matter to me. Attitude, sense of humor, and musicianship are more important.

EQUIPMENT

I have small Pro-Tools based home studio set up, since I also record a lot and write songs. Actually, I went to one of those recording schools (but never got a job, go figure) I have two 88 key midi-controls, the bottom one with weighted action for my pianos and rhoads sounds, and a hamond type waterfall board on the top level. My keyboard sounds are all generated in Reason. I have some krk studio monitors, but no PA yet. I also play a Fender Strat guitar through a Vox tonelab pre-amp.
