ABOUT

Born and raised in central Minnesota, I grew accustomed to all styles of music from my Mother, a singer/songwriter, and my father, a lover of all music. I began studying the drum styles of Keith Moon, Tony Williams, John Bonham, Chad Smith, etc. when I was 9 years old, playing the drum set everyday until my hands would bleed, and I'm still doing that to this today. I have studied Music Performance and Percussion Studies at the University of Minnesota-Duluth and then studied Drum Set Performance at the Los Angeles College of Music located in Pasadena, CA under the greats Ralph Humphrey and Joe Porcaro. I am well versed in the styles of Rock, Punk, Jazz (fusion also), Blues, Funk, R&B, and many other styles of drumset playing as well as World Music percussion consisting of knowledge of Congas, Bongos, Djembe, Marimba, Timbales, etc. I also am very comfortable on Electric/Acoustic Guitar, Piano, Ukulele, and Bass Guitar. Moved back to MN to rediscover my roots and just play with some sweet bands throughout the Twin Cities.
