SEEKING
Band to Join, Vocalist, Bass Guitar.ABOUT
Tons of live experience (both onstage and behind-the-scenes), 9 years of drumming experience, 8 years of guitar/bass, and 12+ years of piano/keyboards (with classical training).
In my primary drumming style, I combine elements of funk with tried and true methods of hard rock and heavy metal rhythms- think Chad Smith of the Chili Peppers, but with double bass. I'm great with time, and can be as loud or soft as you need, but when I'm able to let loose, I've been described by many people as one of the loudest drummers they have ever heard, with "Rhythmic Pounding" being used as one particularly entertaining descriptor. I love a challenge, and I've had experience working in both straight 4/4 as well as odd time when it has suited the song.
As a guitarist, I am more suited to playing rhythm. I enjoy riffwork and locking it in with the bass player and drummer, and I am a very quick learner.
As a keyboardist, I have a pretty good idea of what kinds of tones would sound good during any particular section of a song and can add as much or as little as is wanted. I do my homework, can read sheet music, and when provided with recordings (or if sheet music is unavailable), I can learn most songs by ear.
On-stage, I can be an extremely eclectic and energetic performer. My usual intent is to make the crowd think there is something wrong with me, whether it be through insane facial expressions or physical movement accentuating my musical/vocal performances. I go out of my way to make a 'show' a SHOW (when the situation calls for it, of course).
Currently in the process of forming a new hard rock/alternative melodic metal project and in need of a versatile female vocalist. Contact me through here or at rupertscarr (at) if you're looking to make some original, catchy music with an edge to it.
