ABOUT

Rearview Ghost creates an unexpected raw sound that continues to evolve. A modern hard rock band with a female vocalist has not lead to a feminine sound in any way. Loud guitars and gritty vocals are fuel for RVG. Vocalist Josia Fiore?s influences are mainly front men whom she admires not just for their singing abilities but stage presence as well, some of them include: Robert Plant, Freddy Mercury and Bono. Guitarist Craig Shadix the self proclaimed ?King of Noise? describes himself as ?playing like Jimmy Page on a bad night?. Craig played with Ringo Levio during the decadent decade of grunge and, signing with Zeal Records, they released two CDs Picnic and Pop Rock Kids. Craig co-founded the band Horse which later attracted some interest from Columbia Records. Eventually signing with independent label Rumble Records, Horse released the EP Revolution and the full length CD AMP. In 2005 he put together the punk rock quartet The Cocaines. The Cocaines destroyed punk rock locally, eventually destroying themselves. Bassist Flip Cooper started playing the club scene when he was 16. After years of writing and recording demos with various garage bands he co-founded the heavy rock unit Bad Karma. Bad Karma independently released two albums and toured the southeast relentlessly. Flip eventually joined up with the band 40 Cycle Hum to great acclaim and released a five song EP as well as a full length CD produced by Norwood Fisher. Drummer Eddie Carpenter also began playing the club scene at a very young age and would eventually hook up with Flip in Bad Karma for their second release Nu-Americal Order. Eddie then moved to Nashville where he worked as a studio musician and performed with various Nashville acts before moving on to Washington DC to write and perform with hard rock act Method of Friction. Rearview Ghost works hard to create their music without following any trends and you can expect RVG to keep forging their own path.
