Downplay is a hard rock band based in Columbus OH and we are in need of a serious, dedicated guitar player. We recently evolved into an almost entirely new lineup and things are really picking up for us but the guitar player we have for the time just isn't as dedicated as we would like him to be. We are totally pro, we take our music seriously, and we have a fu*king blast! We play shows in Columbus at The Newport, The LC, Frog Bear & Wild Boar, Red White and Boom, BoMA, etc., and we play a lot of shows in Cleveland, Cincinnati, Youngstown, Kent, and some in IN. We've opened for several national acts and have some really big stuff going on behind the scenes right now. We have songs on XM radio and Clear Channel stations and over these last few months, we've played showcases for Capital Records and Epic Records. As a result, we are playing a show on February 20th at The Newport for the VP of Epic records and serious A&R people from Atlantic Records, Capital Records, and Island/Def Jam Records. We've always got something in the works so it's guaranteed to always be exciting.

We are in need of someone who not only has pro gear but is willing to take the time to really learn their parts and show up to practice with a positive, productive attitude. On top of all of this, we need somebody who looks the part and is at home on stage. We are constantly striving to give the most dynamic show possible so stage presence is pretty important. In other words, we need you to be an all-around fu*king rock star.

BTW we play songs in drop D, drop C, and drop B so you'll need at least three reliable guitars.
