ABOUT
Sachi is a Southern California alternative rock band led by a Japanese-American female singer.
The four-piece group formed in early 2001, performing original material filled with rich synths, pounding metal guitar riffs and soulful vocals. Reviewers have called the music a cross between No Doubt and Metallica.
The band currently plays throughout the Southland, showcasing its three CDs in venues big and small. Sachi has played the world famous Whisky A Go Go and opened for Joey Belladonna of Anthrax at the Key Club (formerly Gazzari's) in Hollywood. The band also played the Key Club's sister venue at Casino Morongo with the national Doors tribute band Wild Child in December '06.
Sachi has performed to crowds at the Orange Blossom Festival in Riverside, graced television audiences to raise money for college scholarships and rocked out during American Cancer Society's "Relay For Life". The band's latest CD, "Planet Gemini", was released in 2009. Buy the CD "Reflection" at Soundclick. The CDs "Synthesis" and "Planet Gemini" are on CD Baby.
