Lead singer and guitar player in various bands for over 20 years. Last 17 years have been in Alaska. Played as 3-piece band in the Dirty Doggz in Alaska for the past 5 years. Wrote and Recorded Dirty Doggz Unleashed in 2008. Just moved back home to New Orleans this year. Finally got settled in and now it's time to get a band started. I'm looking to try and form a band with a female lead singer in the genre of Pat Benatar/Heart...but also including rocking modern styles like Evanescence, Flyleaf, Paramore, etc. I'm a great singer and can nail AC/DC vocals but I want to focus more on playing guitar and not so much on being the frontman. I also write songs and have recorded 3 CDs with previous bands. This new project would also play some originals with the new singer and songs written to compliment the band's abilities and the goal would be to do at least a CD worth of music and do at least a gig a week. I'm just putting the feelers out now to see if there's interest in this type of project with a Hard Driving Rock Band led by a Charismatic Chick singer who isn't afraid to sing out loud or drop down to ballad mode occasionally (like "Broken" by Seether). I have tons of energy on stage I love to rock it hard and just love that feeling when you're soaking wet after doing a kick set! I consider myself an accomplished guitar player and feel like I can learn anything if I need to. Looking for people that also have loads of energy, imagination and love getting the crowd excited. Influences
My main style has been around my hero Randy Rhoads, RIP. I'm a "guitar rock" guitar player. I like the old Judas Priest and Iron Maiden stuff. I'm a big Ozzy and AC/DC fan and yes I even like Bon Jovi. I like a lot of the guitar heros from the 70s/80s, the last 20 years hasn't seen many heros, okkkk Zakk Wylde would be a good hero candidate.
EQUIPMENT
My main rig is a 1991 Peavey Ultra 120 head with hot Eurotubes played through full stack of Peavey Windsor Cabs. I use very little effects, mainly delay or chorous and crybaby. I have a Line 6 combo, a Line Floor POD ProII, and a 120 watt Bugera 6202. I have 7 guitars; Ibanez Destroyer II with EMGs and Khaler, Epi Futura Explorer w/EMGs, Epi Custom Les Paul, ESP Kirk Hammet 602 w/EMGs, Mexi Strat, Ovation Balladeer, Ibanez Bass. I have a PA system with EV 18" subs, EV 12" Full Range, and 12 channel mixer. I have tons of good mics (Sennheiser and Sure) and I run wireless guitar.
