Band to Join.

Forget the "Christian Contemporary" tag. Unfortunately, the Christian Contemporary selection is the only way to let people know that I want to play Christian music on this site. I didn't see anything on this site labeled "Christian - balls out rock." If so, I would've selected it. I can't stand Christian Contemporary music. It makes me want to shove pencils in my ears. I'm a Christian bassist/backup vocalist/songwriter who wants to rock. I have a ton of experience with bands ranging from classic rock to blues to heavy metal. I'm looking for a Christian rock band to play original material. Bands that want to take a stage and leave nothing behind. I've been working on my own material this year. If you want to check it out, go to my page: ://./samartin110 This music is just a small sample of what I've been working on, so if it doesn't float your boat, it's no big deal. I'm open to any and all suggestions. Thrill me. Throw an idea my way and I'll consider it. I just want to play with musicians who are first and foremost Christians, who have the ability to light up any stage, and who believe that anything is possible when God is behind what they're doing.

John Entwistle, Geddy Lee, John Paul Jones, and not necessarily in any given order. They were and are all legends in their time. Any bassist who plays his instrument the way it ought to be played is an influence for me. I'm not a "lead-bassist." I'd prefer to lay down a rock solid groove, locking in with a rock-solid drummer to create a "freight train groove foundation" for the rest of the band. I know the purpose of my instrument, and I play with that purpose in mind.

G&L L5000 bass, Kramer DZM Imperial bass, Ampeg SVT 4pro, Ampeg "4-10 Classic", Gallien Krueger 400RB, Front loaded 2-15" bass cab. I'll be upgrading my gear this winter, adding a Fender Jazz bass, and possibly an Ampeg 8-10" cab.
