I am a musician.
When Im about to play, the blood rushes through me so that all I can hear is my heartbeat and my breathing. And it becomes something so much more. My pulse is the four-four time to the chords I strum. My breathing sets the pace for the lyrics that pour from my heart and not my head. For that one moment, those few minutes, I know that this is exactly what Im supposed to be and where Im supposed to be. It pulls all the pieces of my life back together and everything is right. Its my only stability when nothing else seems permanent.
