ABOUT

***TOP PRIORITY: LOOKING FOR SOMEONE(S) WITH LOCAL STUDIO/STUDIO ACCESS*** I'm an Army wife with lots of extra time on my hands. It stinks because my husband's always away, but on the other hand it frees me up to pursue my musical dreams and ambitions.
I've been singing and playing the piano since I could reach the keys. I grew up in a family of musicians, so I had to do my part, with no regret whatsoever. Whenever I can't deal, I play. Sometimes til my hands cramp up and my voice cracks. I play a little guitar, but not very well. I just use it to try out new ideas.
As a performer, I can honestly say I'm pretty good. I have no illusions about my abilities. I've been told that I have a very "unique sound" which is more desirable, in most cases, than mainstream. I have received publishing offers for my original work. I believe it's really up to the listener, though to define "good" or "talent". Regardless, I'm more interested in writing.
Oh, I don't do covers---except for church. Fresh, new material is what labels are looking for, and songwriting is where the $$$'s at.
I've learned that though millions can sing and play, creativity is a God-given calling that separates the "annointed" from those who simply love music. I aspire to be found worthy above all else.
I have hopes to go to Nashville or Atlanta in the next 12 months to record a 12 track demo. I have the dream, the drive, and the material, and I've done most of the work. Now it's time to get in the studio. So the next step is to connect with other musicians who can and want to share in this vision. It will take true commitment, skill, and a lot of time and practice. I'M LOOKING FOR A LEAD GUITARIST (or 2), BASS GUITARIST, DRUMMER, AND VOCALISTS(Preferrably 1 male and 1 female, both who can also lead when needed, must be able to match pitch and harmonize skillfully). YOU DO NOT HAVE TO BE AN "ON-FIRE" CHRISTIAN...God meets us all where we're at. Just be open to it, and keep your hands clean. All of this is all about HIM.
I would love to share in others' visions as well. Any way that I can help, I will...joyfully.
I have to prepare locally. Any financial resources I have will need to be earmarked for the trip and the studio time. I'm perfectly willing to cover all of the recording expenses on my own, as long as it is understood that I will retain all of the songwriter rights for what I have written.
God bless you in your musical pursuits. Remember to keep your hands clean and your heart pure so you can be used by God. In His will you will never fail.
I have a page, look up Sarah Abner-Arsenault. It's set to private. Just send me a msg with a friend request. Or you can e-mail me. sarahbearhelloatdotcom. I'm so excited to hear from you! ***TOP PRIORITY: LOOKING FOR SOMEONE(S) WITH LOCAL STUDIO/STUDIO ACCESS***

Influences

I love everything, every genre. There are a lot of styles that have contributed to my work.
But my ultimate influences span across the Christian genre. Anything from Hillsongs to David Crowder, Michael W. Smith to Shane & Shane. Chris Tomlin. Jason Morant. Nicole C. Mullen. Jennifer Knapp. Todd Agnew. Audio Adrenaline. Mercy Me...the list goes on. I love updated hymns, ballads, acoustic, metal. I love it all. And I love to sing it all.

EQUIPMENT

I have a Baldwin piano, an Epiphone acoustic guitar, a reasonably wide vocal range, and pen and paper...so I'm good to go.
