ABOUT

May 2017: I have recently returned to my hometown San Diego, and am looking to connect with a few talented musicians to form or join a working band and keep the music playing!

I've previously fronted blues bands, a cocktail jazz band, and have performed duos with several wonderful guitar players and a jazz pianist. We've played a few local blues festivals, had regular lounge gigs, been in rotations for local clubs, swing dances, coffee shops, and retirement centers.

I also sing old country, lots of standards, jazzy numbers, and a mix of this and that.

I am retired and have a flexible schedule. At this point wouldn't it be nice to find a natural and easy connection with a few quality musicians who resonate to some of the same styles and genres of music, are comfortable playing at a moderate (rather than LOUD!) volume, and who enjoy and appreciate the time we spend making music together.

If this sounds appealing, love to hear from you.

UPDATE: A seasoned bass player has indicated interest in putting together an OLD COUNTRY band, so I'm also looking for a lead country guitar player as well as a talented drummer who wants to play with two oldies but goodies like us. We'll be just starting out together, so you know there's going to be some practice time and building our repertoire before we start booking gigs. As long as we enjoy the music we're making, that's ok with me.
