ABOUT

I won't lie. I'm a newbie. I've never played a single gig. I am a beginner with an Acoustic guitar.

I know musicians. I've always known musicians. I dont know folks are musicians when I befriend them. But an inordinate number of people I've become friends with turned out to be musicians.

One such friend has been pushing me for years to get an instrument. He claims to "see" that I have music in me. I never believed that, until just recently.

With the passing of my closest sibling, who used to front her own band,y perspective began to change on everything.

I bought the Keith Urban guitar/lesson package, and finished that. I started finding chords and tabs for music I love on line.

Something strange and really unexpected has happened to me. Music I've never heard before keeps popping into my head. This happens a lot at night, to the point that it messes with my sleep. Other times, I'll just hit one random chord, and an entire progression pops into my head.

I want to develop some of the tunes I have partially written. I'm not looking to cover. I'm looking to create. I'll practice covers that I feel ,to further my playing ability, in terms of music I feel deeply. But creating new music is what burns inside.
