Band to Join, Vocalist, Rhythm Guitar, Lead Guitar, Acoustic Guitar, Bass Guitar, Drums.

Hi,my name is Scott.I'm 37 years old.I've been playing music for about 25 years now.I have a wife and 3 kids who take up alot of my time.So I'm looking for a group of guys around my age to jam with on a semi-professional level.I grew up in the 80's so I love the 80's metal, and that's kinda the type of band I'm looking for.Maybe a cover band that plays all the music from that era.I'm not a big believer in tribute bands 'cause I believe the best way to pay tribute to your hero's is to take their song's and make them your own,not play them note for note.My main instruments are guitar and bass.

My biggest musical influence is my uncle Wayne Moore. He's been a pro musician for many many years. He was in a band called Nashville West with future members of The Byrds. He's also played for Verne Gosdin. My other influences are very wide ranging.Like I said, just about any metal band from the 80's.I don't care for thrash, although Metallica's pretty cool.Mainly the bands that were big back then,Motley Crue,Iron Maiden,Judas Priest,Alice Cooper,Ratt,Van Halen,Cinderella,Ozzy,AC/DC,W.A.S.P.,Dokken,Poison,Aerosmith,and my favorite band of all time,KISS!!!.And bands too numerous to mention from the 70's.You know, all the classic rock bands.

Thanks to the shitty economy,I'm sorda in between amps right now.So I'm looking for a band that might have an extra amp laying around.I have an ESP electric guitar, and a bass I put together myself, and a Shecter acoustic guitar. As far as pedals,I have a ZOOM 505II guitar pedal, and a Crybaby Wah.Like I said,I don't have an amp right now.So I plug my ZOOM into my Tascam DP-008 Pocket Studio.Oh,and I have a ZOOM drum machine, that's how I do my recording.
