Lead / Rhythm Guitarist looking to put together a 70's based Classic Rock / Americana / Jam band project both electric and acoustic. Looking for a like minded Guitarist, Bass Player, Drummer and Keyboard player and possibly a Vocalist. Vocals are a plus as they will be a key piece to the sound. Must be willing to practice 2 times a week and when ready, gig out once or twice a month. Looking for great listeners as that is the path to great sound dynamics which is the key to creating a great sound and vibe.
About me: I am in my early 60's. I have played in bands my whole life. I have a full time job, and I am not looking for this project to replace that job. I am doing this to have fun, first and foremost. I want this to be about the music. No drama or egos, please. I have a wide range of musical tastes from this era ( the 70's ), but most influential for me are:
Derek and the Dominos and similar ( Delaney and Bonnie, Mad Dogs and Englishmen )
The Allman Brothers and similar ( Govt Mule, Tedeschi Trucks Band )
The Grateful Dead
Crosby, Stills, Nash and Young and similar( Manasas, Crazy Horse )

Playing the above is not written in stone. Obviously, everyone should and will have input to the song selection and that input plus our ability will dictate the musical direction this project will take. Also, while I would like to be as faithful to the music as possible, I am not looking for a tribute band, but rather put our own collective spin to the music that is selected.
