My name is Scott Morris.
I am atteding Cal Poly as an industrial technology student. I got a guitar for my 12th birthday and it was love at first sight. I played my first "concert" 2 days after in the rec center with friends and our school assigned brass instruments. I had my guitar, playing couple blink songs and a nirvana song. Since then, I have almost always been in a band of some sort, ranging from classic rock, to alternative, to metal, to punk, reggae, and most of all, blues.
I was the guitarist in the school's jazz band, so I can also read notes, chords, and understand basic music, although I am much more keen on just hearing a song and being able to play it. Since I started playing, i just put on a cd and jammed to it, that is how I learned most of my music. I never took lessons, and tabs just seemed like a poor excuse for someone who can't read music. I was the guitarist for my high school's theatre pit band.
i have been using logic pro for just under 6 years, and i have a couple decent microphones aimed at my class a amp, so i am able to pretty accurately record any musical ideas i have. i record whole songs that i write all original but my voice is pretty bad so I'm always interested in having friends and other musicians come sing for me to record.
If you're on the central coast of Cali, hit me up come over and lets jam/record!
