Band to Join.

I used to play guitar but Carpel Tunnel Syndrome took that from me. Now I scream.

Update April 8 2021: I have been encouraged to take this more seriously by someone who's opinion I value dearly. Due to this, I am going to begin aggressively pursuing being a harsh vocalist.

Recordings will be available within 2-3 weeks.

I am working on singing, however my primary focus has been a wide range of harsh screaming with an emphasis on emulating the complete tonality, duration, and length of the screams of the artists in my practice list. I generally practice for a minimum duration of 45 minutes with no breaks between songs for building breath control and stamina. In addition to this, when a song has multiple vocalists - I scream/sing every part (minus overlap) in order to push myself. My personal favorite screams to do are in the range of Wage War's vocalist, while singing is more fun when it's Ice Nine Kills or Killswitch Engage. I also enjoy low screams with quick transitions into high screams, however my high screams currently are what need the most improvement as they lack consistency. My current warmup/practice song list includes the following:

Jamie's Elsewhere - Giants Among Common Men, They Said A Storm Was Coming, Closure, Capital Vices
Famous Last Words - The Relentless
While She Sleeps - Silence Speaks
Whether, I - Gemini
Fit For A King - Oblivion
Wage War - Don't Let Me Fade Away, Stitch, Low, Basic Hate
Miss May I - Relentless Chaos
Architects - Doomsday <- with a double length scream during the breakdown
Ice Nine Kills - It Is The End, "Me, Myself, and Hyde"
Asking Alexandria - The Final Episode
This Or The Apocalypse - A Damn Moment
Memphis May Fire - Vices
August Burns Red - Marianas Trench, Ghosts
The Amity Affliction - Pittsburgh
Crystal Lake - Apollo

I also take COVID extremely seriously, even up to this point. Don't like it? I don't care. I'm willing to work around it if you are. Get in touch with me if you're interested in meeting (safely) or want a specific recording generated. I can meet in person and do a demo song of your choice (of those listed above) to demonstrate screaming power/range if desired. I can also do this via video call.

I will be doing karaoke at Billy Frogs (Sioux Falls) in the near future, this will be my first live performance where I intend to scream "August Burns Red - Marianas Trench", and I will not be doing so in a social manner (meaning it's not a night out at the bar). I will be getting in touch with the DJ to set it up after my wife has received her second COVID vaccination shot. By this time I will have had both of mine for long enough to feel that I can do this safely in a controlled manner. More information will be posted as this develops.

My vision of an ideal band would be a 5-6 piece band with 2 guitarists and 2 vocalists. I don't need to be front and center, and I'm not a control freak. While I can be opinionated, I am not an all or nothing type of person and I believe that a middle ground can be found in nearly all situations.

Want me to scream a particular song that's not included in this list? Send me a message, depending on the band/song we might be able to work something out. Please be aware, I'm not claiming to be able to sing - I am looking to utilize harsh vocals primarily if not exclusively.
