In October of 2018 I purchased a home in Deerfield Beach on the island, and we will be officially moving into that home this Fall. I would love to find a working 70s pop rock /hit band who will be in need of a drummer around that time. If I can't find a working band, I am willing to start one from scratch. I would love to find either/or as soon as possible so that I can start prepping and work on learning tunes before I get there. I have played in many rock coverbands over the years, and I feel like there will plenty of opportunities for gigging with a 70s pop rock cover band in south Florida. Examples of potential songs I would like to cover (just for example not set in stone) Jay Ferguson- Thunder Island, Paul McCartney- Silly Love Songs, Jet., Band on the Run. The Babys- Isnt IT Time. Steve Miller.... KC & Sunshine Band. ETC.
I am a very laid back easy to get along with person, who does not do drugs and drinks socially and responsively. I am very dedicated and willing to put in the work to have a great sounding, working, popular 70s hit rock band.

I love all rock & roll. Slow, medium, and hard.
My drummer influences are Sib Hashian (Boston), Nigel Olsson (Elton John), John Bonham (Led Zep) Alex Van Halen, Carter Beauford (DMB), Nicko McBrain (Iron Maiden), Neil Peart (Rush)
to name a few of the better known drummers.
I also have alot of respect for and listen/follow many less known drummers who I feel are outstanding drummers who are very underrated. For example, Brian Tichy (Ozzy, Foreigner, Billy Idol, Whitesnake), Jimmy D'Anda (Bullet Boys), Tommy Craig (Pat Travers), Jimmy Chalfant (Kix) to name a few.

Instrument experience:

I use and always have used top level professional equipment. I just sold my Tama Starclassic kit which I had for quite a while. I am in the process of purchasing a new DW kit. I am probably going to go with the Performance series, but have not ruled out the Collector series yet.
I use Paiste cymbals, and have a mix of the 2002 series and Signature series.
I aslo recently purchased a set of electronic Roland V Drums, that I love. I use them to practice on so that I can run them through my headphones and not drive my family and neighbors crazy every day. I would be willing to play them live on occassion, if thats whats best for the gig. But my preference is the accoustic DWs.
As for microphones, I do not own any as of right now (my last band owned them). However, I am willing to make that purchase after I see what kind of situation I will be getting into.
