1975-1983
Began my musical career playing guitar professionally rock, funk, and jazz/jazz fusion. Bands: Chops, Batucada, Greg Clemons and Colors, Proper Stranger/Hurricane Ruth.
Wrote and scored music for rock, jazz, acoustic ensembles and big band jazz.
Studio recording in central Illinois and Wisconsin—orchestral, rock, pop, commercial jingle-work. Electric and acoustic guitar.
Toured in Midwest and Texas.
1983-2012
Played in small private-party bands, big band/jazz, and rock to keep my chops up while I pursued a career in technology to provide for my family.
2012-2021
Stepped up my engagement in music; applying my guitar work in rock, jazz, R&B, funk, and big band jazz. Of note were the Jeff Oakley Band, Second Wind, and State Farm Big Band in central Illinois.
