My name is Sean Magwire and I am a singer-songwriter based out of Oxford, Massachusetts. I recently released a new album entitled, "Songs for Wednesday" and am looking to form a band. I wrote the album over the course of the past year and recorded it with my dear friends from around the country and world. It's a rootsy, folk-driven sound in the vein of Josh Ritter with elements of Peter Gabriel (so I've been told). The title of the album comes from a weekly livestream concert I put on each Wednesday during the shutdown. This is my third solo release but first in a long time. I was previously the bandleader and songwriter for Chicago folk band, The Lulabelles. One of my songs actually won a grand prize for folk in the 2015 John Lennon Songwriting Contest. I've always recorded and released my music independently and had been gigging around the Northeastern US before Covid.
