If you had a time machine, would you save Kurt Cobain first and THEN kill Hitler? If Dave Grohl hit on your girlfriend, would you take it as a compliment? Do you want to play lead guitar and sing harmony in a covers and originals four-piece garage/alt rock band?
We are late-20s to mid-30s professionals, each with 3 to 15 years playing experience who enjoy making music as a serious hobby. We practice in the Seattle area once a week on Saturdays with the goal of playing a show at least once a quarter and putting together an album of original material. In addition to the originals we’ve been working on, we play covers of Foo Fighters, Wolfmother, STP, and Weezer.
Our vision for the band is a cohesive, collaborative group where everyone has input and works together to write original songs, have fun, and play some great shows. Vocals, rhythm guitar, bass, and drums are already in place; all we need is you on lead!
What we’re looking for:
Easygoing personality
Solid lead guitar chops and ability to sing backup/harmony
Dependability re: coming to rehearsal and shows
Desire to collaborate and write new, original rock songs
A fun person to hang out with outside of rehearsal
Someone with their own gear and reliable transportation
What we’re NOT looking for:
A drug problem
Prima donna rock star attitude
Fifteen year old kids who got their first guitar last Christmas
Metal-head shredders, unless you’re fighting the Ninja Turtles
