ABOUT

We are singer, guitarist, bassist & drummer who just lost our extremely talented keyboardist (he was younger, lured away by stardom). We're 50-60+ all ex-pro or semi-pro musicians, have jobs, cars, equipment, rehearsal studio and do this for FUN. That being said, we gig pretty regularly and we don't play for free (unless it's a benefit for a cause we all support). We take odd or obscure tunes and rewrite or rearrange them. Think "For your love" as reggae, "I'm a Believer" as a minor key soul ballad or even "Black Dog" as acoustic swamp music...get it?

Influences

Everything from the 50's to recent tunes. We're all about taking interesting, fairly rare tunes and re-writing them into the Secret Agent Band style. As one club owner put it "I knew everything you guys played - but I've never heard it played that way before!" The audience comes first - they want to have fun, drink and dance - and that's our role as performers and entertainers - to make sure they have a good time! When we start a song, we'd like everyone in the audience to go "Oh yeah, I LOVE that song...!" You can listen to us here: (on the web) secretagent.band/stuff-we-play/

Members Of Band

Joyce Mirow – Vocals
Joyce has been singing all her life – from 4 part harmony with her 3 sisters to musical theatre to many choirs, elite singing groups, and bands. She has performed on stage and on camera, and has sung backup for Barry Manilow. She has had vocal leadership roles in Mary Lou’s Mass with Cleo Parker Robinson, and with the only Denver company to perform Sing for the Cure at Boettcher Concert Hall. She truly loves singing in a band with her husband Jock.

Tom Dudzinski – Drums
Tom began gigging at the ripe old age of 14, playing everything from jazz, to rock, to country to polkas (ahhh Detroit … Motown and Polkas!) throughout southeastern Michigan. After school and then working in Ann Arbor for a few years, Tom packed his drums and headed for Nashville, where he landed a job at Music City’s public television station. With his work in television, Tom had opportunities to produce and perform numerous television sound tracks. An amazing experience that created some great stories!

Then it was on to the Mile High City, where he continued mixing his passion for video and music … playing live gigs with countless bands and occasional studio sessions. With the talented Secret Agents, Tom is thrilled to be playing music that hearkens to his musical roots with a twist that is progressive, contemporary and exciting.

Jock Mirow – Guitar
Jock has been playing guitar since age 12 – and has been in a variety of Boulder and Denver-based rock acts including Roxx, Def Heffer, The Korvettes, Her Master’s Voice, Red Roxx and now – Secret Agent Band. He loves to play melodic, yet simplistic stylings – often using a variety of electronic effects and digital voices to enhance his relatively limited guitar skills. Previously known as a bass player in the Denver music scene, he’s often seen looking at his hands and asking band members “now, tell me what those extra two strings are for again?” He is known for his love of guitar gizmos and is rarely seen playing the same instrument through the same amp twice. Quote: “Better musicianship through louder amplifiers!”

Pat Erwin – Bass
Born and raised in Detroit, Pat was exposed to the Jazz/Blues/RnB/Motown/Folk/Detroit Rock n Roll scene that was the musical gumbo evident during the 1960’s and 70’s. He sang in choirs and glee club through grade and high school as well as involvement with the Music program at Metropolitan State University, giving him exposure to the world of classical music. Pat has performed music in the Denver area in a variety of genre’s since the mid-1970’s and welcomes the opportunity to play with the exciting Secret Agent Band.

EQUIPMENT

Everything we need and more. We've all been doing this a long time. We have a large rehearsal / recording studio. We own big gear, little gear, light shows...you name it...we probably have it sitting around in a case somewhere. Oh yeah, and a trailer - we have an enclosed gear trailer.
