ABOUT

****Update 2/18. Found a band and i’m going to see how this goes. ****

Drummer/percussionist from Northwest Indiana looking to join/form original band based in Chicago.

Looking to create original music and I have an extensive background in that area. Would consider genres of Alt, Indie-Pop, Rock, Folk-Rock & Americana.

No metal or hard rock please.

Seeking like-minded fun players/band who are serious, ego-free, professional, personable, reliable, drama free.

Start-ups welcome. I don't mind building something from the ground up but would like a project that has a game plan in place or at least willing to develop one.

I'm absolutely willing to travel to Chicago for right situation. Would prefer to rehearse out of Music Garage, Superior Street or Fort Knox studios.

I'm 48 years old and I've been drumming for 30 years. Tons of experience (live, touring and studio), good gear, a good ear, easy to get along with. I'm not a jobber nor am I in 47 bands.

Past shows include: the Sundance Film Festival, Milwaukee Summerfest, North By Northeast (NxNE) in Toronto, Taste of Chicago, Old St. Pat’s World’s Largest Block Party, the Midpoint Music Festival in Cincinnati, Chicago clubs: METRO, Bottom Lounge, Martyrs’, Subterranean, The Note (sadly now gone), the Mayne Stage as well as clubs on both coasts.

Up for practice 1 to 2 days a week and aiming to gig 1-2 times a month.

Can play to a click and sequenced/backing tracks if needed.

The samples of my playing are from the Leather Silk album by My My My recorded at IV Labs by Manny Sanchez (Umphrey's McGee/Fall Out Boy), and the other sample was from a 90's band called The Human Condition (recorded at Idful Music by Brad Wood (Liz Phair, Better Than Ezra, Pete Yorn, Smashing Pumpkins).

Video sample includes My My My's song Leather Silk used in an MTV original series promo. Song starts at the 0:24 mark and ends at 0:48. Pretty cool.

Please have samples available. Don't care if it's a link, mp3, be video or a video/audio from your phone. Send something.
