In 2012 this group of down-home musicians were formed under the name of Shane Pons. Like the outlaw's of the old days, they are doing what they want to do, which is Country music with a Rock edge. Some call it Outlaw Country, Red Dirt, or even Southern Rock, but no matter what category you want to clump them into, it in doesn't matter to The Shane Pons Band.
