ABOUT

Unique and diverse drummer/keyboards

Music major out of Unf, I've been in a band for the past 3 years, toured regionally, ready to create or join a new project. I've been playing piano since I was 4 and drums for about 15 years. In the past year and a half I've ventured into the EDM scene, and have been attending many music festivals from Camp Bisco to Wakarusa to Bonaroo. I'm looking to make a unique electronic hybrid, something along the lines of Break Science, Big Gigantic, and Zoogma. I've turned my traditional drum kit into a triggered hybrid that is rigged to be played standing up, similar to what the drummer for Yeasayer does. I'm looking for unique and experimental musicians to form a new thing, maybe something along the lines of EOTO, but different obviously. I'm open to bassists, keyboards, violin, and someone with experience in ableton/logic/protools to add a digital layer to the mix. I have been DJ'n for about 2 years and would like to implement turn tables as well. I have also been fire spinning at festivals and at gigs for over a year and would want to implant that in some form, I'm full of ideas for visuals that correspond to the music, and intend to have a full on visual show to go with the music.

Influences

A truly odd mix of influences including Primus, Yeasayer, Big Gigantic, The Mars Volta, Pretty Lights, Arctic Monkeys, Band of Skulls, Opiuo and many others. Good music exists in all genres, right next to all the sh*tty stuff, just gotta sift through it. That being said, I think the best stuff blends from all kinds of genres and sounds.

EQUIPMENT

Full Pearl set, double bass, dual snare, 7 cymbals. Triggered into a Roland trigger brain, giving me the power for massive bass drops and all the laser sounds you could want. Also have a full drum mic set, as well as vocal mics, stands, and tons of cables. I'm rocking a full 88 Korg weighted keyboard, plus a mini 36. Hercules MX4 and case.
