SEEKINGBand to Join, Vocalist, Lead Guitar, Bass Guitar, Drums.
Updated Aug 2018:
Does anyone like to just play anymore? Practicing consistently 1-2 times per week for 2.5-3 hours each if you're not playing that weekend should be equally as fun as gigging.

Seeking players to play large diverse covers from classic/current rock, & modern country hits. No egos or drugs; interested in having fun and playing songs for audiences. Willing to take it slow; no rush in getting out there; in fact if you just want to play & have fun consistently that's fine too. Must be solid & choose RELEVANT songs. I have a family & day job and looking for like players of interest. I'm NOT looking to do this for a living; but to have fun practicing as much as bringing enjoyment to others at gigs.
I have played professionally for 25+ years. Played Chicago famous clubs, weddings, biker parties, fests, etc. as well as 15+ years being EVERY weekend (Friday, Saturday and Sunday) throughout the Pacific Northwest.
Looking to either join existing band or create a new one.
I am happy switching on and off the lead vocals with others. I don't need the spotlight; performing strong vocal harmonies are equally important to me. I play rhythm, lead guitar, and sing.
I prefer to play rhythm guitar and a few leads here and there.
+ I do NOT want to be the only guitar player in the band; I enjoy playing with another strong lead guitar player.
+ I do NOT want to be the only vocalist in the band or strictly forced into being a front man. + Looking for TEAM players
+ Looking for a drummer with finesse and a light touch = no pounders and a great meter
+ Ideally, a solid bass player also with strong vocals.
+ Keys with vocals would be real nice but not a requirement.
+ Female/male lead vocalist would be nice but not a requirement.
Music appreciation, personality, & attitude is key to good chemistry. Looking for this to be long-time friendships as well as producing good music and having fun!
Willing to practice nights: Mon, Thurs, Fri. Saturday day or night & Sunday day.
I even have secure rehearsal space in St. Charles/South Elgin border - West of Fox River with equipment just need players!

Too many to list. All genres to current, but mostly late 80's, and 90's rock guitar players.
Diversity is key!!! Songs from Bad Company to Mellencamp; Winger to the Black Crowes; Def Leppard, 3 Doors Down, Hinder, Train, Maroon 5, Bruno Mars, Eagles, Stevie Ray Vaughn, ZZ Top, Lynard Skynard, Luke Bryan, Brantley Gilbert, Cole Swindell, Chris Cagle, Chris Stapleton, Randy Houser & Jason Aldean. I'm open. I'm interested in playing in a rock, pop, and/or modern country band. Ideally, it would be a combination of all 3 playing guitar-based modern music.
In rock, I like Daughtry, Lifehouse, 3 Doors Down, Nickleback, AC/DC, Black Crows, and throw in some 80's hairband music.
In Country/Rock I like Jason Aldean, Keith Urban, Luke Bryan, Brantley Gilbert, Chris Stapleton, Chris Cagle, Randy Houser, etc. as they're basically rock with a southern accented vocalist.
Everyone seems to be "stuck" in the 70's & 80's. Don't get me wrong I like it BUT need to take a "hard look" at your set list and ask yourself what songs do you have from the last 10 year decade that is danceable - it is almost 2019! Granted... the only thing that is good & popular is modern country right now so... time to compromise & adapt!
Interested in playing funk for wedding bands, as well.
