Hi there! Before I tell you about myself, I wanted to point out that I am not currently an exclusive member. So, If you like what you have read and listen to, please leave me a way to contact you in my inbox, or email me at shawnnaeser Y.H.A.O.O. I am a drummer/ percussionist of vast background. In my 18 years of experience I have logged many hours in the studio, on stage, in the practice room, and on the click. Yes, I play with a click! However, that doesn't mean I need to rely on it. I also can read and write drum/ sheet music. I'm not very good with notes when it comes to other instruments but I do recognize note patterns and rhythms. I also play with a click. I have some backing vox abilities, professional gear, a professional attitude, solid work ethic, no substance issues, no drama, and a deeply rooted passion to play until the day I die!!! What I'm looking for are some down to earth, talented musicians. I realize that the audio and videos posted are on the hard rock side but I am not limited to a specific genre by either preference or ability. I am also no longer with the band that the samples. I currently have a side acoustic project that is ongoing but I am looking for something more consistent. I will be updating the samples soon.
What I' am looking for are other musicians that are on the same level as myself. My goal is to network with others to eventually form a band but I'm not opposed to projects, studio work, or specialty gigs (parties, weddings, church, etc.) Again, if you dig what you read and heard, leave me a message in my inbox, or if you are also a non "exclusive" member, email me at shawnnaeserY.H.A.O.O

With a wide range of Influences, I could go on for days about different musicians and bands that have shaped and inspired me. Instead of going on and on, here are a few artists/ bands that have had the most impact on me over the years. I grew up on the 60's and 70's classic rock, it will always be in my soul. I hate to admit it considering them now but early Metallica (Ride the Lightning, And Justice, Master) you know the good stuff! I have to give it up to Pantera, Tool, Van Hallen, Genesis, Led Zeppelin, Rush, Alice in Chains, STP, GNR, Staind, Chevelle, Breaking Benjamin, and Dave Mathews are some of the heavy hitters in my musical development.
Even though most of these guys are heavy, I am into a wide variety of genres and artists. The way I see it if it has talent, is well written, is edgy, and inspiring, I'm into it!
I have Pro level equipment with a soild track record. I gig out with a early 90's Tama Rockstar (5 pc) and Vintage Zildjian Avedis cymbals around the kit ( 3 crash, 1 ride, 1 china.) This kit has been my rock for over 10 years! It looks good and sounds great. For the studio I have a Yamaha Stage Custom (7 pc) with the same brass set up but I use new Zildjian A Customs. These bad boys are almost as perfect as you can get for recording and small venue settings. I also have a Yamaha DTXtreme lll electronic kit for practice, early recording, and writing. this kit also works well when acoustic drums are overkill or preforming with an electronic vibe.
