I'm part of a tight, dynamic groove band with club work coming up that is looking for an experienced, strong, tight pocket, groove singer. Great chops, time and feel - someone who is creative and can inspire, who leads and remembers arrangements is what's needed. Our performance material needs proper snap and sizzle on a variety of soul, funk, R&B, blues with jazz/rock fusion influences. We're looking for a commitment to one rehearsal a week and 1-3 gigs per month. We're a 4 piece rhythm section, killer sax that will expand to 3-4 horns once we get a bit more settled. We're all experienced mature players in our 40's and 50's who read charts, teach music, have day jobs and family. We've selected and perform a cool variety of tracks that really groove and move with energy and great arrangements. It's not about the money but rather being a great band that loves playing this variety of music with truly great players who are serious about their instrument and craft. And yes, in the beginning, the gigs will barely pay our out of pocket expenses and expand once we really get rolling with the full horn section. If you're interested, check out this link to 5 live mixes we posted - .truvinylgrooves. We'd prefer to hear some tracks or a video of you performing for further consideration. We rehearse in the lower Westchester area near the Tappan Zee Bridge area. Reach out for more details if you’re interested and qualified. Ray
