I just want to sing. It's been my dream but instead I chose to do the safe thing and chose a career and went to college. Now I have a family which is great but I still have that longing to live my fantasy in music even if it is just locally. I want to bring joy to others through music and watch the emotion in their faces as the songs I sing bring up memories from their past as well as create thoughts for the future. I'm good at writing refrains or coming up with general ideas but have never been successful at writing a complete song. I've never sung with a live band on a gig and would love to have that experience at least once if not on an ongoing basis. I'm moderately committed as my family must come first. However if I can find the balance between work/life/band that would be great.
