ABOUT

Hello , I am 54 years old . I have carried a harmonica around in my pocket since childhood. I can play any song I hear, if I can humm the mellody ,I can play it on both a 10 hole diatonic in the correct key or on one of my many Chromatic harmonica. A few years back I discovered that I could sing well enough to go to any karaoke bar and be one of the ground favorites by singing any Beatles Elton John or James Taylor songs.

Influences

My biggest influence was my Little Brother, Josh ,God rest his soul. I once had a dream the him and I were travelling the country playing in a bluegrass band named "The Crumbs In The Butter". The following weekend he showed up at my house with a mandolin for me and said we are making that dream a reallity ! I started practicing and soon him and a fellow that played 6 string and I were sitting together as "The Crumbs In The Butter" pick In and singing and life could not get any better. Shortly after a weekend party for my birthday Josh passed away unexpectedly from complication from diabetis. It was his dream to see me perform in front of a croud because I never could play in front of people due to servere stage fright. I have taken big steps toward loosing the feer of hitting a sour note in front of people Ive never met and no longer have the issues related to stage fright and actually enjoy having others hear me and critique my performances.

EQUIPMENT

I have roughly 25 harmonica ranging from cheap dime store harps to Hohner Super 64 X and everything in between. I also have an ESP LTD Stone 6 string guitar, a Dean acoustic/electric bass guitar, a Micheal Kelly acoustic mandolin, a Mitchell acoustic /electric ukulele, a 1919 Player Piano that is in its final stage of restoration , and I have one of the first solid bodied electric mandolin ever made that my father had custom made by Jim Harvey of Harveytone instruments which carries a hand wound pickup need by Bigsby himself of Bigsby tremolos.and my most prized instrument of all is my voice, I have a love for singing and if you would like to hear what I do with every spare minute I have 2500 + recordings of myself singing on SMULE karaoke site on the internet, log on and browse my favorite list if you'd like.
