We're a pop-rock trio, "Silk City", looking to become a quartet and to expand/mature our sound from British-invasion-like pop to more alternative indie rock. Our current bassist is moving to rhythm guitar. Influences of our newer sound include the Strokes, Television, Franz Ferdinand, (early) Kings of Leon, Blondie, The Beatles, Guided by Voices, and Blur.
We have been a band for almost 5 years, are in our mid-twenties, and have a wide repertoire of original music, in addition to crowd-pleasing covers that span over many decades such as the Beatles, the Pixies, and Motown. You can hear some of our original stuff on our , reverbnation, or page.
