Sinkland Farms is seeking musicians to perform at the Cottage Shoppe during the summer of 2010 and beyond. We have several opportunities.
A key immediate need is a musician(s) that will focus on children's music/songs/entertainment. We are interested in seeking those who sincerely care about child entertaining, are patient, always dependable and consistent in order to begin a timeless weekly or bimonthly venue of family entertainment.
An example of what we'd like to start in the NRV and Roanoke Valley at Sinkland Farms would follow or pattern the music style of Greg Russell from Hilton Head, South Carolina (please check out his website). His special brand of music entertains children of all ages with his comic interactions, and active engagement of participants in programs. Russell started a pick up singing gig under an oak tree in Hilton Head focused on children and young families on a regular basis and now he is an international star in the music world. An objective of Sinkland Farms is to offer a special place and program for families with children, which is a target market that has huge potential in our area.
This opportunity could be a wonderful step in any musicians quest for exposure and notoriety. Sinkland Farms is branded and has tremendous public exposure from all media outlets.
We are interested in talking with/interviewing anyone who may be interested in performing at the Farm by June 10. We would like to advertise our new children's music program at the LandJam on June 12 and again at the Evening of Fireworks and Music by Upland Express on June 26 at Sinkland Farms (as well as in other media outlets).
