We have been writing original music since the summer of last year. We have 5 songs written (although they change here or there from time to time) and another dozen or so ideas on the table that we are currently working on. As of now, we have no definite lyrics for our music, just things we mess around with. We are looking for a vocalist who wants to be a part of something greater than themselves; someone who isn't an egotistical narcissist who always needs to be the center of attention to feel comfortable in his/her own skin. Ideally we would like it if all four of us could approach each song differently, even to the point that we might not all play the same instrument for every song. It would be great to have someone open minded that thinks about music outside of the proverbial box. We want the vocals to be a part of the song just as the other instruments are, not the only reason the song exists. The image in our head is a soulful singer with an intellectual, open mind that shares the same passion for music that we do.
Without the intention of sounding arrogant or conceited; we are good, therefore we are going to be very picky about who we allow to enter this situation (Can you say something like that without sounding arrogant? Haha...). Coming into this, you would be treated as an equal from day one regardless of the fact that we've known each other for a fairly substantial amount of time. We have demo recordings and videos to show anyone who may be interested.
Also, since I feel like I'm on a dating site as I type this, we enjoy long walks on the beach, dancing in the rain, picking fresh flowers, and holding hands, although sometimes our hands get sweaty. Sorry about that.
