Hi there. My name is John. I am the singer and songwriter for Sixty Miles Down, a hard rock band from Bergen County, NJ. I live about 10 minutes from the George Washington Bridge. I am currently looking for a second rhythm/lead guitarist to complete a new lineup. Our music gets a lot of comparisons to Alice In Chains. I don't necessarily hear it and don't try to sound like the but that's what a lot of people say, and I take that as a compliment. This isn't a paying gig as there isn't really any money being made at the moment. We're looking to play a handful of shows throughout the year. Nothing crazy. We have been releasing singles quite often as well as videos and are working on a new album for release in the fall. Lots going on but it would be awesome to be able to get back on stage again. Influences

The band has gotten a lot of comparisons to Alice In Chains over the years and also Corrosion Of Conformity among others. We never set out to sound like these bands but that's what we're told we sound like. We play mostly hard rock that's dark but also catchy.
