Band to Join.

i am a self employed widower... means i have more time than money, but i love to play what i love to hear. not interested in a typical cover band, rather do selective covers and original material. if you cant help but smile and get a bit excited about some of the music from the bands listed below, we probably share a similar taste in music.

my favorite music was made from the early '60s to late '70s, disco excluded. i think popular music branched out in more directions then then at any other time... the creativity was near boundless, that said, the music i listen to and try to play is, shall we say, dated, but to me timeless. my main influences as a player are chris squire of yes and carrie ziegler of crack the sky. i try to emulate them, to try to find a line worthy of playing, of listening to, rather than just fill in the low end. i like a melodic bass line, and i embellish where i think it fits. musical influences, with the above named bands, include the beatles, pink floyd, aerosmith, led zeppelin, rush, emerson lake & palmer, alice cooper, heart (when ann was thin), steely dan, little feat, joe walsh, robin trower,... there's more...

ibanez sr605 bass, peavey tnt 150 amp, an ibanez js100 electric and a mirage f6ce acoustic guitar(s), as well as a tacoma m-1 mandolin and two small practice amps.. a 15w line 6 and a tiny 38w fender frontman.
