ABOUT

Trying to get a post-hardcore/honky-tonk/folk punk thing off the ground that I'd like to front. Trust me you'll love it. Think Tammy Wynette meets Fugazi. Please ask for the demo if you're curious. For this project, I'm still seeking pedal steel and keys/multi-inst.

Also generally into jamming on drums or guitar for whatever. Particularly drums for something doom-adjacent. Creative accountability songwriting buddies perhaps?

Influences

Well, IDK about influences per se, but I listen to lots of black and stoner-adjacent metal/metalcore (Zeal and Ardor, Spectral Wound, Behemoth, Ancst, Witching, Dopelord, Bongripper, Mutoid Man), alt country and folk punk (Neko Case, Lydia Loveless, Robbie Fulks, AJJ, Amigo the Devil, Murder by Death), post-metal (Russian Circles, Red Sparrowes), rap (Aesop Rock, Mos Def, The Roots), "pop", broadly defined (The Format, The New Pornographers, Of Montreal.. Also love Taylor Swift), post-hardcore (Fugazi, mewithoutYou, la Dispute, Kaonashi, Bear vs Shark), and definitely plenty of "indie" stuff (Sleater-Kinney, Neutral Milk Hotel, the Dodos), pop-punk and adjacent (Weatherbox, Get Up Kids, Say Anything), pretty much anything put out by Sargent House Records--my favorite artist is Chelsea Wolfe.
