I am looking to gather a group of musicians to form a project mostly for fun. I am 34, play drums and guitar mostly. Have professional setups for both.
My vision is to do covers of a mix of top 40 pop songs, classic rock, and whatever else the hoards of people demand in the style of Less Than Jake ska/punk.
I really like the idea of a female vocalist, but if a dude comes in hot with some pipes, that is great. Looking probably in the age range of 27-40. I am married and have kids so this won't be a full time thing. Practice 3-4 times a month and play a show or two a month hopefully.
I also would like the option to write the songs where we could just set up on a street corner and play unplugged for hours.
