Yacht Rock

Saxophone, Keyboard.

YACHT ROCK.....The Ultimate Tribute to the soft rock of the late 70's and early 80's. This music has made a huge resurgence and appeals to an adult demographic which is why this project will be a "corporate band", marketed to Country Clubs, Municipalities, Event Planners, Festival Promoters, and other venues/events capable of paying beyond typical "club wages".

This project is made up of a group of professional working musicians who each are involved in other working bands. This "Yacht Rock" project is not intended to replace our "club dates" and the club pay that goes with it. This is intended to be a "next level" corporate band worthy of commanding next level pay.

The core band is in place and rehearsing but we are in need of:

* Primary Keyboardist - to handle the "heavy lifting" parts. lead vocals a plus, backing vocals a must

* Secondary Keyboardist/Saxophone/Flute - should be proficient with keys to handle the "other" less demanding keyboard parts but be at pro level on saxophone (flute, percussion a plus!!!) Female preferred!

This music is about vocals/melody....so while there is a lead singer, the goal is for several members to share lead vocal responsibilities...and for all to be comfortable with backing vocals.

This is a professional situation which we take very seriously and are looking for someone who approaches it the same way. We will rehearse mostly at Markee Studios in Deerfield and expect to have weekly or bi-weekly rehearsals for the remainder of 2018. The goal/expectation is to have shows booked beginning January 2019 and a professional marketing/promotional campaign will begin as soon as the lineup is set.

Age is not an issue at all (we are 40's to early 50's)...but having a feel for and familiarity of this music is....as is having a work ethic that will get this project where it needs to be with a few months of rehearsals.

Every member of this project is involved with other working bands so its totally OK if you are involved in other projects too...provided you can carve out the required homework and rehearsal time and will commit to making these gigs a priority.....which for everyone's benefit will be booked as far in advance as is possible.
