I’m an older day-time professional, very enthusiastic but able to lay back and chill... evening - night time musician, writer, multi-instrumentalist, lead and backup vocalist, playing electric and acoustic guitars, (lead, rhythm and bass) and some keys. I do practice everyday (by myself) have been out of the music thing for a few years and it's time to jump back on-board and work with other musicians!
I’m into originals (and some cover classics) blues, funk, rock, soul, jazz fusion and with respect, not into country at all! Have equipment and looking to attain more.
I prefer to find and then create with dedicated like-minded people that have good collaborative - collective attitude who are into progressive thinking and culture, who want to SOULFULY ROCK IT in a non-sexist, non-racist and non-substance abuse approach, manifesting the joy of music for folks while satisfying the creative muse within. I am NOT into D and A; have seen abuse take too many people down!
I would love to find a FUNKY – SOULFUL drummer and find another guitar – bass player –writer that can do at least some vocals, that are as good (HOPEFULLY BETTER!) at music than I, wanting to create a collective and rocking project that gets people up off their ass and on to the dance floor! A three piece to a five piece group that is tight, into playing Northern California – Southern Oregon (without the idea that they’re going to make a living of a local project…. I’m mean hell, this is Redding, Ca. and you got to have a day-time gig unless you have won the lottery AND IF SO CALL ME!…) that can do the above is what I’m eager to manifest!

Any and all Funky – Soulful kind of sound I have ever heard. Grew up in the East Bay so if you know what that is you know what I’m talking about; there is just too much to list here. Do dig classical, some alt rock jazz fusion, and well done pop (as long as it has soul.....), and sure, some of the hippy – jam-band stuff as long as it makes some rational sense, is in tune and doesn't go on for days at a time! I love the sound of the rain and wind, bells and chimes. In a way, everything I have ever heard influence’s and inspires me to make music!

Full recording studio www.softflightmusic.com Pro-Tools and even reel to reel, full practice-pre production space, electric basses, guitars, some amps and pa. that can do up to a few hundred seat seat shows but not at OUTRAGEOUS volumes. I even have some old Hammond stuff! Have about 85% of studio built and adding! Have good transportation.
